Amsterdam

I have a great fondness for Amsterdam, and I believe it is one of those cities you should visit in your lifetime. If I hear a friend is coming to north-western Europe and doesn’t have plans to go, I’ll always try to persuade them. From where I live now, it is close enough to take a day trip by train, so I’ve been there many times with many different friends, and it’s always been an enjoyable and interesting place to visit. However, despite my fondness for and frequent visits to the Netherlands’ capital city, I cannot rate it as a highly accessible city: it only gets a Satisfactory rating. Visually and historically rich as they are, Amsterdam’s streets can be very taxing for a wheelchair user.
